This week I officially started working for Bi-Lo. There are two other girls from my class that are starting with them also. We are considered Pharmacy Graduate Interns which is a fancy way of saying we get paid half our salary until we pass the boards and become real Pharmacists. Hunter is excited to have a second income in the household! I'm excited too, but got used to sleeping in and playing house. I'm only working 30 hours a week, which is three 10 hr days, so it's not that bad. Today I was so excited to sleep in and Lucy decided she was ready to get up and play. What happened to "Lazy Lu" who used to sleep in with me? Now she's taking a nap and I'm washing clothes and have dinner simmering in the crock pot. The good thing about Bi-Lo is that most of the stores around here are 10 hour days and closed on Sundays. So when I get off at 7, I can come home to eat with my husband. It is very important to me that we have our dinners together. I know there will come a time when we can't eat together every night, but so far we haven't missed one yet!

Relaxing
Saturday night, we ate dinner at the Charleston Crab House and then took a ride to Folly Beach. Dinner was great! We sat on the deck and watch a beautiful sun set.
Lucy's 1st trip to the beach
On Saturday, Hunter, Lucy and I headed to Aunt Audrey's to see her, Aunt Rosie, Uncle Tony, and my parents. My friend Casey, from pharmacy school, and her husband, Otis, were staying on Sullivan's Island for the weekend. We had a great lunch with them Sunday afternoon.

Hunter's Birthday
On Saturday, we spent the days doing house stuff. Hunter hung a ceiling fan in the guest bedroom which actually was the one we replaced from the master. The tricky part was that it was already assembled and we have a peak ceiling in that room.
I made Hunter oatmeal cookies since I felt his birthday had been overshadowed by all the graduation festivities. These are his favorite so me and Lucy sang "Happy Birthday" and let him blow out the candles. Lucy also liked the cookies!
On Sunday, we spent the day "Family Flopping." Since this was our first holiday since the wedding, we got lots of practice at going back and forth between each others family. We went to Hunter's parents Saturday night but stayed at my parent's house. Got up Sunday and went to Hunter's church and then ate pre-lunch with his family for Mother's Day and his birthday. Met up with Mom and Dad for Mother's Day lunch. Then went back to Hunter's parent's house for his birthday dinner. I guess that is what you have to do when you are from the same town.
We ate a great fajita dinner and Hunter got key lime pie for dessert. Haley and I made a one-of-a-kind guacamole dip that was excellent and Hope entertained Hunter with her new Mario Cart game for the Wii.

Hope you had a great birthday Hubby!

Officially a Doctor
I made a last minute decision to attend the mass graduation on Friday. Basically this was due to the fact that we were planning to go to Hilton Head, but realized just how busy this weekend was going to be with Hunter's birthday and Mother's Day. So I figured that if I was going to be in town, I might as well go.
Graduation Cookout
After the ceremony, we went back to the house for a cookout. Here is my awesome cookie cake Hunter got for me. He also got me a very nice new camera that these pictures are all taken with!

100th Post
This is the 100th post since I started this blog over a year ago. I love Caroline's and thought it was a great way to keep up with everyone. And since it served as an online scrapbook! So I started it after Hunter proposed in March. It's neat that everyone can catch-up on what's been going on in our lives. If you are at all like me, I love when people update their blog and there are new posts to read and pictures to look at. Hope everyone has enjoyed this as much as I have!

My new do
Since I had grown my hair out for the wedding, it was time to chop it off. I lost about 5-6 inches, but I love it! I've really liked this style for many years, but no one has quite known how to cut it right. Believe me, there were several screw-ups along the way by different people! But Kelly (the hairdresser I've been going to for about a year) finally got it right!
One Month Down
Cinco de Mayo marked our one month anniversary. I know it's cheesy to keep up with me months, but oh well. We've adjusted to each other well. I'm still playing house-wife and you all would be impressed with the amount of cooking I've been doing (believe me, I'm impressed with my self)!
Things this week have been busy. This weekend, we had our board review for our national exam and state law exam. It's basically reviewing everything you learned in 4 years in 2 days. Today we our Awards Day banquet. No, I didn't get an award, but it was great to see everyone there before the big day tomorrow. It'll probably be the last time we all just got to talk and celebrate everything we've been through together!
I'm a little nervous about tomorrow. Don't know why, but it's just strange to think it's all ending. However, I'm glad to be done with school. There are not many other people that go 6 years with out getting a degree. I can't wait to get my diploma hung beside Hunter's. They already told us that we probably won't get them till August, but it's still exciting.
One neat thing is that I'll be announced tomorrow as a "Mottel." My college changed it for the ceremony, but my diploma will still have "Rhoden" on it. I figured that was appropriate since I went through all of my school and a "Rhoden" and my parents helped pay for it!
So one Mottel will be graduating as a Pharmacist and another Mottel will be starting as a pharmacy student! Hope starts her first semester of Pharmacy School at USC in the fall! She will be the SC College of Pharmacy (since we are now merged with MUSC) of 2012. It's neat to feel like I had some influence on that career choice, even if it was a small part!

Graduation Celebration
After 6 long, hard years, I'll finally be graduating Wednesday, May 7th! I can't believe it's finally here and at times wondered if it was ever going to happen.
Come if you can! We'd love to see you and let you see "our" house!

We had this picture taken on the Honeymoon and I just got around to scanning it in.
