A Honeymoon in Paradise

Here are some pictures from our fabulous week in Playa del Carmen, Mexico at The Royal Resort.
When you arrive, you are greeted with champagne and a cold towel. Once we got to our room, we had this dessert waiting on us.
Hunter was ready to relax!
Our view from the balcony.

Ready to eat our first all-inclusive meal. I tell ya, if you can afford it, it's the way to go. It makes for a truly "worry-free" vacation!
The view at night.
The lobby.

On Tuesday, we headed straight for the beach after ordering room service breakfast. This proved to be our routine for the week. I was a huge fan of these beach beds!

Us at dinner.
Our room was on the third floor in the corner.
Showing off our new jewelery!
My Mexican Flag drink.
This was the cigar and tequila bar.
Hunter with his Cuban.
Wednesday we walked to 5th Avenue, which is considered the shopping district for Playa. It was only a block from the hotel entrance.

I couldn't get over the pharmacy custom down there. You just walk in and buy whatever you want. This was my favorite sign! Makes me laugh!
The hotel at night.
Entrance into the lobby.
Us after dinner.

Thursday we decided to go see one of the nightly shows at the hotel.
This was about the history of Mexico. They had great costumes!

Friday was our last day. We had been trying to go parasailing all week, but the wind was too strong! It was something neither one of us had done and were really looking forward to it. Well, once we knew we couldn't go Friday, we decided to take the ferry over to Cozumel. It was only a 30 minute trip. There were two cruise ships docked. It is a lot like Playa...same shops and souvenirs.

We ate lunch at the "Smallest Hard Rock Cafe in the world." This picture really does show it all!
It seemed so hot that day, so we stayed in the shade at Fat Tuesdays as we waited to get on the ferry.
Our last dinner.
Then it was time to pack and say goodbye to our wonderful honeymoon! I can't wait to go back one day!
Hunter, you did such an amazing job picking this place! I couldn't have asked for anything more and everything I did ask for far exceeded my expectations! Thanks for such a great trip!
