Once we landed on Saturday, we drove straight to Hunter's parents house to get Lucy. We were so excited to get her back. Thanks for watching her! Then we stayed at my house which was completely weird. Skeebo wouldn't even get on the bed. He just would growl at Hunter like "What are you doing here?" It was so funny. It was great to see everyone at church Sunday. But a lot of our friends were out of town, since it was Spring Break (Master's Week). Once we got back to the house Sunday, we saw the sign Dad and Mr. Phil put up Friday. This was at our rehearsal dinner and it was fun to see it in the yard!
Lucy was glad to be back at her house too! I felt like I was in a strangers house, but I'm getting used to it now. Sunday night Hunter went around the labeled all the light switches so I would know what did what. You think this sounds trivial, but each panel has 3-4 switches on it and the logic...well there is none. You would think that the switch closest to you would turn on the light closest to you. Not hardly. It is basically the opposite. So this has helped me learn the order.
Later I washed our clothes from the honeymoon. After I completed the 4 loads, I realized I had no clue where his stuff went and no place for my stuff! So it is still in piles. I'm still working on that today.
My interview yesterday went well. I was told there was one more candidate to interview, so I don't know how many total were up for the position. I would really like the life-style this job brings, but I still have Bi-Lo to fall back on if I don't get it.
Last night we cooked our first dinner. We rearranged the kitchen with all of our new stuff and got to cooking. I took pictures, but the blogger won't let me add them.
Menu: Flat-iron steak, baked vegetables, tomato and mozzarella salad.
What I did: Prep vegetables, marinated steak, and put salad together.
Hunter cooked the steak and chopped vegetables and got them into the oven.
It was a joint effort which I really love.
Tonight: Chicken, left-over vegetables, butter noodles, and salad.
