Why dose the most random stuff happen before weddings? Is it just me? I've have weird phone calls that I never saw coming. Between invitations issues, to the cake lady thinking only 30 were coming to the rehearsal dinner even though she charged me for a cake to feed 70, to a job interview (this was a plus), to a letter today for a court appearance (that is a long story for another day, but the short version is: crazy lady that owns the place I had my bridal portraits thinks it's cool not to tell the bride her fee to use the facilities until two days after you've taken the pictures. Then she'll call you up, bless you out, and send you a $300 bill for a 2 hr session. I could have stayed at her B&B for 2 nights for that price. So now she is taking me to court for not paying her for something I didn't know about. By the way, there was no signed contract or verbal agreement of any kind!) I guess that really wasn't a short version, but oh well. Basically it is not something I want to worry about 2 days before my wedding.
Plus: Family is starting to roll in. Terri, Will, Sydney, Aunt Marilyn and Lanny are all here and have already been put to work. It makes me excited that people are here now. And we got our "get-away" car today. Kenny brought it over for us to keep in the garage! It's so pretty--a '57 Ford. I love old cars! We had a wonderful Bridesmaid's Dinner tonight. It kicked off our festivities! Susan and Dianne put on a great creole feast! We had gumbo and jambalaya. Thanks for all your hard work! It really was wonderful.
Minus: the weather is freaking me out. 70% chance of thunderstorms doesn't sound that great to me.
So I'm starting to think it is just me and that I never saw this stuff coming the week before the wedding!
Plus: I'll be getting my wedding day pampering tomorrow. Hunter gave me that as a Valentine's present! I'm very excited!
