45 DAYS!

I can't believe the wedding is only 45 days away! I used to be able to say how many months and now we can literally "count the days!" I hope you are all getting excited, because I know we are.
Update:
  • The bridesmaids dresses are in and look great
  • The pew markers have been completed (BIG thanks to Mrs. Susan)
  • Showers are starting up
  • Bridal portraits are March 1st
  • I have stayed caught up on Thank You notes...that goodness
  • All invitations have been sent
  • The band has our song list
  • Hunter has made a video of our baby pictures (I can't wait to see this at the rehearsal dinner. He has worked so hard on it. It is about to kill him for me to see it!) We will hopefully have it playing at the reception too, so everyone can see it!
  • Cake has been ordered (it's gonna go good!)
  • Mom and Mrs. Kim have their dresses

Things still to do:
  • Decide on music
  • Finalize food and flowers
  • Figure out centerpieces for the reception
  • Get dress to leave reception in
  • Pick out a car to leave in
  • and a MILLION more!

The making of the invitations

Here is the 1899 Chandler & Price Platen Press Laura used to make each invitation.

Laura took this pattern from the fine china Hunter and I picked out.
Laura hard at work!
The rollers are going over the ink pad and then will roll ink over the plate.

Each invitation had to be pressed twice; once with black ink and then with the silver.
The press is wheel and petal operated. Laura said she had to get a rhythm going of putting paper on and off, spinning the wheel, and stepping on the petal. I can't believe she was able to do all that for each invitation!
Thanks again Laura for your creativity and giving us a true one-of-a-kind creation!

As Promised...

Here is our engagement picture that was in the NA Star. It was taken on Hunter's Grandpa's boat in Hilton Head and turned out to be one of my favorites!

Invitations

This weekend was filled with stuffing invitations and verifying addresses! They should be mailed out tomorrow, so be looking for them! We will just meet the 2 month time-line to get them out. We are very excited about how they look and are very grateful to Laura for all of her hard work. Everyone should feel loved knowing you have a hand-made invitation! Thanks Laura for all your creativity and willingness to do this for us. We love you!
