My 23rd!

Well last Friday was my 23rd birthday! I was so excited and it sounded like such a "grown-up age." I don't know why, but it did. It was my first birthday outside of the classroom which made it so different. I'm used to all my friends telling me "Happy Birthday" in class and instead, I had to go to work. At least Casey, a fellow pharmie on rotation with me this month at Fort Gordon, picked me up for work and had made me cookies! Mom and Dad came to the fort to eat lunch. Hunter was in Salt Lake City, but came back Friday afternoon. I was glad he was home for my birthday!
Blowing out my candles on my Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake from Bruster's...YUM!!

After I opened all my presents and notice the new ipod Nano! I was so excited! Thanks Mom and Dad for a great birthday!

We all went to eat at Bonefish and then Hunter and I met up with some of our friends in Augusta. We had a blast! It really was one of the best since I shared it with my best of friends!

Ok...I know I post a lot about gamedays but...

even Haley's cat, Gracie, got in on the action last Saturday.
Yes, Hunter and Hope dressed up Gracie in the gamecock shirt that was too small for Lucy to wear. Let's just say Gracie was less than amused, but was a good sport!

Home again, home again

This one is for Mr. Phil:
Here is the picture from your early birthday celebration. Sorry it didn't get posted till now, but it's too good of picture not to post!

Glad you are finally home for good! I'm so excited that you will be able to take part in all of the wedding festivities to come.

Playmates

I picked up Lucy from Hunter tonight since he has to go to Salt Lake City tomorrow for work. She gets so excited about coming to my house and seeing Skeebo. If only Skeebo felt the same way! This is a picture of them eating each others food! I think it is so funny that they love to this. It's like they are so excited for a change, they just eat and eat. At least they are quiet and not annoying each other!

Carolina Football

Just wanted to congratulate the Gamecocks on
being ranked
#12 in the nation!
I'm so excited for this season. There is no other feeling like it standing to your feet as the "Mighty Sound of the Southeast" starts to play "2001 Space Odyssey" and the crowd goes wild. You get chill-bumps as you prepare for the team to run out of the tunnel. Then as the alma mater is played, I love being able to raise my hand to solute the school we are all so proud to be a part of. It's my last football season as a student and Hunter's first as an alumnus.
Glad you raised me as a Gamecock, Dad! My passion for the team is owed to you.
You are a true fan! Hope you had a great birthday!

Here are few pics from the first home game.
Me and my cousin Ashley!
I was so glad she stopped by.

Mike and Haley, our two favorite tailgaters!

And the pictures wouldn't be complete without one of Lucy in her Gamecock shirt that Skeebo let her wear. (It was too little for him....don't worry he has another one he wears on game day!)

GAMEDAY!

Well needless to say....it's the first game of the season. Only the best time of the year and the main reason we couldn't get married August through December. Gamecock football was an inborn tradition in my house. I'm just glad that Hunter feels the same way. I told him when we were talking about dating that I had three questions to ask him:

1. Are you a Christian?
2. Do you like to play golf?
3. Carolina or Clemson?

Two out of three was pretty good and necessary in order to bring him home to Dad. Question 2 was the only one Hunter wasn't sure about. He said he liked golf and now would like to play, so I knew that would suffice. I always tell him he should be lucky he found him a true Carolina Girl who didn't mind the tailgating for 5 hours before the game, staying in the rain, and standing up for 3 hours.
So Hunter this one's for you....Gooooooo GAMECOCKS!

Terri and Billy also have a very important role in tonights game. They will be on the field when the team runs out to "2001 Space Odyssey." Thanks to Billy's great golf game, they were invited to sit in box seats with Eric Hyman, the new athletic director for USC. So all you non-Comcast customers who will actually get to watch the game, look for them on the field! Oh, and Billy, if you just so happen to break a leg or end up missing before kick-off, I'll gladly take your spot with Terri on the field! Hope you two have a great time! We'll be looking for you!
